Q: What women inspire you?

A: Career-driven moms who appear to balance their work and home lives effortlessly – because there can be chaos behind the scenes no matter how good you make it look!

Q: What do you think is the most important skill for female leaders?

A: Hone into our high EQ talents and use them to our advantage.

Q: What advice would you give other women going into Procurement?

A: We all have our struggles and challenges – believe and practice the idea that you are a survivor over a victim by pulling in learnings from hard life lessons. Treat others the way you want be treated, but be firm and speak your truth kindly and respectfully. You get farther in life with honey over a hammer, though I’ve had some stakeholders lovingly refer to me as “The Velvet Hammer”!

Q: What practical steps should organizations do to promote gender equality?

A: Empower women to climb to senior #leadership roles, equal pay for men and women with the same roles and experience, and continue to create women-focused groups and marketing opportunities.

Q: Where would we find you on a Saturday morning?

A: On my couch watching Disney+ or Netflix cartoons and eating mini-muffins – then the gym!
