We are excited to announce that Clare Harris has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, after 17 years in the company. Clare brings to the board a wealth of experience having held roles across operations and recently serving as a Senior Vice President, Client Director.

During her 23-year career, Clare has built a reputation as a recognized leader in the industry, working with and managing projects for some of the world’s most recognized brands. Clare joined Proxima 17 years ago in a Programme Management role, leading large cost optimization programs for clients across retail, financial services, and manufacturing. Clare has also held a number of leadership roles across operations and has been involved in steering the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Clare combines her operational expertise with significant client experience as she has spent time delivering Proxima’s client services. She has a background in the retail space and has been instrumental in driving the business’ growth in the sector working with brands such as M&S, Asos, Primark, and Sainsbury’s. She is also a key part of Proxima’s culture as an organization in her role as senior sponsor of the Gender Equality Network, advocating for more diversity & inclusion both within Proxima and across the industry.

Proxima was recently acquired by global consultancy Bain & Company and Clare has been instrumental in the integration of the two company’s services to leverage their combined expertise. As the newly appointed COO, Clare will focus on ensuring that Proxima’s operations continue to support the company in providing differentiated, cost-effective, end-to-end procurement solutions.
