At Proxima, we are dedicated to delivering success for our clients, but it is also great to see the leaders in our business being recognized for their contribution to the procurement sector.

The 2021 MCA Awards, which celebrate the impact that consulting has on society with a focus on modern consulting, saw Proxima’s Executive Vice President Simon Geale win the outstanding achievement award for changing the narrative on procurement.

Simon’s win in the Outstanding Achievement category underlines his commitment to innovation in procurement, working with his clients, colleagues, and the wider industry to push procurement forward.

Simon has spent over a decade at Proxima working hard to elevate the position of procurement and support clients in delivering change for their business. He is a leader not only within the consultancy but for the entire industry. Simon is fully focused on the future and is working in collaboration with Proxima’s clients on sustainability, digital transformation, and the future of procurement. Simon’s list of achievements recognized by the MCA included:

  • Unique position and client focus – Simon’s role as SVP Client Solutions was recognised as a means of shifting the narrative around procurement as well as his focus on creating compelling consulting products that reflect client needs.
  • Championing procurement – Simon is passionate about championing the role of procurement in tackling today’s biggest issues. He has used his platform to highlight how procurement has played a role in the global COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
  • Leading the way – Simon has taken the lead on major industry-wide projects such as the Finance Leaders Outlook and State of Spend reports, encouraging business leaders to search for cost-saving in the supplier base, rather than rushing to make redundancies through the pandemic.

We are thrilled to celebrate Simon’s contribution to Proxima and the industry and look forward to many more outstanding achievements that will no doubt come.

Congratulations, Simon!
