The Chief Information Officer (CIO) initiated a comprehensive transformational program to address the imperative of enhancing the client’s network infrastructure.
To meet the challenges and strategically manage the transformation, Proxima was competitively engaged to lead the procurement aspect of the program.
Approach
Proxima’s team of deep IT subject matter experts led the delivery of six RFPs in critical areas: hardware, implementation and support requirements, strategic monitoring, telephony, and preparatory works. Through close collaboration with the client’s technical team, we captured and translated requirements into procurement documentation to ensure alignment with the overarching strategy.
Working with site teams, we organized and structured a pilot phase, testing new solutions, capturing feedback, and refining implementations based on real-world usage.
Following this, we continued to lead ongoing operational and supplier management and provided a structured approach to implementation, driving collaborative working across the supplier ecosystem.
Results
70% of the £100m program budget was sourced by Proxima in this program, achieving savings in the process.
