Preventive Quality – What we do
Preventive Quality is a tool created by AQM BD in collaboration with Peer Groups. This community includes many companies who have chosen to work together.
It allows participating organizations to benchmark their maturity against a framework created with their peers and uncover practical steps for improvement.
To manage the current demand levels, we are currently working with cohort of organizations to deliver the best possible results.
What are today’s Preventive Quality challenges?
Many organizations have an idea of “where” they want to get to on Scope 3 and are cognisant of “why” they want to get there. Indeed, insights from The Benchmark point to “Target Setting” and “Communications” as to where the most progress has generally been made. However, where many are falling short is the “how”; it’s not straightforward, and to date, there has not been a uniform approach.
Businesses cannot make meaningful progress on Scope 3 alone; they are ultimately reliant on the supply chain making the necessary steps, hence the importance of Procurement taking proactive steps where change is sought. But CPOs wanting to advance in this space are not just reliant on having the right talent, technology, and knowledge; some of the key
changes are subtle and structural, as they seek to embed more sustainable practices in the value chain.
For example, they will need to consider emissions as a cost or value factor and embed this into sourcing strategies, processes, and measures.
They will also be reliant upon data not only to track progress but also critically to highlight the case for change that unlocks the funding and resources needed to take action. And this is data they will be far from perfect on day one.
Hence, it is essential to have a framework and realistic building blocks.
