Stretch Film & Industrial Wrapping
Machine and hand stretch film, PVC cling film, shrink wrap, and palletizing film. High-performance industrial films for logistics, food service, and warehouse operations.

How Industrial Films Are Made
From resin pellets to finished rollsStretch film (pallet wrap) is made from LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) resin. It stretches 150-300% to tightly secure palletized goods for transport and storage.

Resin Selection
LLDPE pellets (C6 or C8 metallocene) are selected based on required stretch %, cling, and puncture resistance. Premium grades use metallocene catalyst for superior performance.

Cast Extrusion
Pellets melt at 240°C and are extruded through a flat die onto a chill roller. Multi-layer (3-5 layers) for optimal cling, stretch, and load-holding. Film speed: 300-600m/min.

Slitting & Winding
Jumbo rolls (1500mm) are slit to width: 450/500mm for machine stretch, 100mm for mini rolls. Hand rolls: 2-3kg net. Machine rolls: 15-17kg net. Core: 50mm or 76mm.

QC & Testing
Tested: thickness (17-23 micron), elongation at break (min 250%), cling force, dart impact. Each pallet shrink-wrapped and labeled with batch/lot number.
PVC cling film is widely used in food service for wrapping fresh produce, meat, and prepared foods. Plasticizers make PVC soft and clingy — food-safe grades use DEHA or ATBC (non-phthalate).

PVC Compounding
PVC resin is mixed with plasticizers (30-40% by weight), heat stabilizers, and lubricants. Food-grade requires EU Regulation 10/2011 compliance — no phthalates.

Blown Film Extrusion
Compound is extruded through an annular die and inflated into a bubble. Film thickness: 8-12 micron for cling, 15-25 micron for heavy-duty. Bubble ratio controls width.

Slitting & Packaging
Film slit to 30/45cm (retail) or 30-60cm (catering). Wound on cardboard cores with cutter box. Rolls: 100-1500m. Tested: cling force, elongation, migration test (food safety).
Shrink films contract 40-75% when heated, conforming tightly around products. Used for multi-packs, tamper-evidence, and pallet stabilization. Made from PE, POF, or PVC.

Orientation (Stretching)
Film is extruded then stretched in both machine and transverse directions at elevated temperature. This “memory” causes the film to shrink back when reheated (at 130-180°C).

Converting
Flat or centerfold, slit to width. POF (polyolefin) is food-safe and crystal clear. PE shrink for heavy pallets. Options: printed, perforated, UV-stabilized.

Application & Testing
Applied via L-sealer + heat tunnel or automatic sleeve wrappers. Tested: shrink rate (%), haze, seal strength, shelf appearance. Palletizing films tested for load stability.
